Prevention is better than cure

Few days back when I was going through a medical journal, I came across a word called mesothelioma. As I never heard about it, I decided to gather some information about it. When I was searching on net, I came to know that, it is a type of cancer which is very rare cancers which affects lungs, heart and other internal organs. Unlike other types of cancers, mesothelioma does not affect brain and bone.

Most of the people suffering from mesothelioma often have been or still working in asbestos companies. When a person inhales asbestos particles, glass specks and asbestos dust it will be accumulated into their lungs and after a few decades transforms into cancer. It can even affect the people who wash the clothes of people working for asbestos related companies.
I was shocked to hear that, the disease takes almost 20-30 years to show its symptoms thus making it impossible for curing. Some of the symptoms of this deadly disease include high fever, weakness, sudden weight loss, server coughing, chest pain, difficulty in breathing and blood vomiting.

Today there are various treatments available to cure the disease but they are very expensive and a common man cannot afford them. This is the reason why every year the death rate of mesothelioma patients is increasing.

This is some of the important information about mesothelioma with all of you. So I want to warn people working for asbestos based companies to take of the health as we all known prevention is better than cure.
