EuroNews features Nile basin agriculture

EuroNews, the European television channel, has broadcast a series of items on water resources and water use in the Nile basin. Filming took place in Uganda and Egypt. The items focus on current water use and future challenges, putting into perspective factors such as population growth and climate change. They capture irrigation both on large and small scale. Several agricultural experts and policy makers were interviewed, including Uganda’s Minister of Water and Environment Hon. Maria Mutagamba and Dr. Abdel Fattah Metawie, chairman of Egypt’s Nile Water Sector. Copies can be availed on discs, on request.
