Counterpart staff has prepared posters with 12 images of average monthly vegetation cover for a relevant national sub-basin in the Nile area. The illustrations serve to visualize the spatial and temporal variability of rainfall and associated vegetation cover over the selected area.

Data are derived from MODIS, which is a key instrument aboard the Terra satellite. MODIS TERRA images are obtained every 1 to 2 days and are in the public domain. The poster is based on the 2000 – 2004 dataset.
